Nicholas Barnett has been a director, business leader and consultant for over 30 years. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Insync Surveys, one of Australia’s largest employee, customer and board effectiveness measurement and improvement specialists. Nicholas is also a co-founder of Gender Worx and Board Benchmarking. He is a member of the Australian Human Resource Institute’s (AHRI) Research Advisory Panel and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD).
Nicholas is also chairman of Ansvar Insurance. He is a former partner of KPMG and was formerly chairman of First Samuel Limited, The Presidents Club Limited and Ambit Group and a former director of Mission Australia.
Nicholas regularly facilitates board and executive workshops, speaks at conferences and provides expert media commentary in relation to governance, organisation culture, sustainable high performance, risk and diversity. He is passionate about assisting boards and senior executives to become more effective, helping them make their organisations better places to work, more productive and profitable.
Nicholas lives in Melbourne, Australia with his wife Lisa of over 30 years. They have three adult children and one grandchild. Nicholas regularly plays golf and tennis and had a 78 off the stick at The Old Course at St Andrews on 3 July, 2014! That was 6 under his handicap.
Nicholas co-authored Why Purpose Matters with Rodney Howard. Rodney has been coaching people to lead fulfilling lives throughout his professional life. An experienced medical doctor, he began working in the area of human potential over 20 years ago. Since then, his work with organisations has focussed on leadership development, team effectiveness and cultural transformation. He is the founder of Insight People and works throughout the Asia-Pacific region as a consultant, facilitator, speaker and coach.
